2. Provision of the website

This website is hosted on a self-operated Synology server. When the website is accessed, technically necessary connection data may be processed. This can include the IP address, time of access, requested address, HTTP status, browser information and the previously visited page, where transmitted.

The data is processed to provide the website, diagnose errors and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Apache logs are rotated according to their size. The WordPress container is configured to retain up to three log files with a maximum size of 10 MB each. This does not correspond to a fixed retention period measured in days.

3. Contact by email

If you contact the operator, your email address, message and any information you provide voluntarily are processed for the purpose of handling your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR may apply to pre-contractual or contractual enquiries.

Microsoft 365 is used for receiving email. Microsoft processes data as necessary to provide the email service. Messages are retained according to their purpose and any applicable statutory retention obligations.

4. Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics and the Pinterest Tag are not currently used. WordPress uses technically necessary cookies for access to the administrative area. Public user registration is not currently offered.

5. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time with future effect.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly the Slovenian Information Commissioner: www.ip-rs.si.

6. Requirement to provide data

Providing information in an email enquiry is voluntary. Without a valid contact address, however, a reply may not be possible. Technical connection data is required to deliver the website.

Additional technical information

The upstream Synology web server may store technical error messages in its system logs. These are used for error diagnosis and secure operation. Their retention depends on the configured logging and rotation settings.

The contact mailbox is managed and read by the website operator. Microsoft 365 is used as the technical email service. Depending on the contractual terms and services used, international data processing may take place. Information about Microsoft’s contractual data protection terms is available in the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum.
